This blog will be the control center for all of the activities regarding the 3 credit English course in Food and Health. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, just click on the word 'comments' below the relative posting, and you can share your ideas with the rest of the class! In order to earn your three credits, you are expected to participate in the online part of the course, so get ready to write!
To get started, I would like each of you to send me a 'comment' regarding the course so far - tell me about the activities that you like the most, the ones you have the most trouble doing, and whatever else you think about the book, the organization of the course, and so on.
Everything will be written in English - including your comments. Don't worry about making mistakes - it's part of the learning process...

OK, to break the ice...
about the course so far...the way in which the course is conducted is really fun. What i like the most is the speaking session, and i'd like to have much more of it, in oreder to improve the pronunciation also. Just a few of troubles with the listening part, but i think it's cuz of the acoustic of the room . My proposal for the future is if we can , sometimes, not use the book and speak freely about whatever comes to mind
Good morning teacher, I think that the course is very interesting and important to improve the our English. The book's sessions that I like are listening to better understand the conversations between English people and I like also the pronunciation session to become an English people completed :-). My future proposal is to extend this course in many other places and go to England for an holiday!!

In my opinion this course is very intersting and useful, especially for me!!I find more difficulty in the listening part. My proposal is to dedicate more time to speak among of us, so we gain more mastery of the language. I agree with Vincenzo about the holiday to England!

this course is very interesting and funny too. Your way to teach seems optimal above all when you let we speak between us. I hope to succeed to overwhelm my difficulty in listening. Unluckely (I am useful for the blog) tomorrow I will be engaged for the thesis in a school in Naples, so I apologize for my absence and I hope to be present the next thursday.

I am very happy to participate in this course because I can improve my English.
My biggest difficult is the speaking, because I speak English so so and I feel embarrassed in those situations.
Another difficult is the listening, so I must practice in listening English.
I think that the teacher is very good because I understand her and the book is simple.
I hope I’ll speak English easily, so I’ll go to England to talk with English people… :)

just like my friends, i think that this course is very interesting and funny. my biggest difficult is the listening part too, while i like the speaking session even if i don't have a rich vocabulary.
the book and the exercise are very simple and useful...the teacher is very good with us and has a lot of patience so I hope to succeed in learning the English.

I hope that I am not late to express my comment. I like this course of English and I would really improve my English.
I think that my colleagues and I must learn well the English to found a job more easily. I like the structure of course and of the book but I have must of all difficulties in the listening part. So, I think that the acoustics of the classroom isn't excellent...I want justify my ignorance...I listen the words like tied. Above the conversation part, I think that if every body present in the classroom partecipate in the only debate it will be more useful. However, I can't well speak English so I shall be shut up :-).

I think that the course is very interesting, because it gives all us the opportunity to speak English. In fact my difficulty is the speaking because I use this language occasionally. I hope that course will improve my "English" so that I can understand easily the English scientific articles for my thesis and can speak English when I go abroad for holiday.

I'm sorry for writing my comment only now. Well, about the course, sincerely, at the first moment i said "ohi, it's too difficult for me" perhaps because i have several gaps about the english words, and i need to look over again the english grammar. Anyway, the activity i like most is listening, because i think it's very useful for us, even if for me, and maybe for my colleagues too, there are some difficulties, but i think that also the acustic of the room influences our comprehension. Of course, speaking session is the most useful for us, but i have many difficulties. However, i hope that, from time to time, i could improve my ability and, like marianna, i hope i'll speak english easily, also with english people. Even though the troubles i meet, the course is pleasant and very interesting, and thank you teacher for it. I think that the book is very well organized to guide us in our study. That's all. I'm so happy to frequent this course. I'm thinking about it's useful to improve my english language. My greatest problem is speaking and listening the english language, while I think to be good anough reading and translating the english scientific articles, becsause I'm just doing it to my thesis about biotechnology. The book is well done and so easy. I'm thinking is very interesting learning the english pronunciation. Goodmorning!!

I Think that the course is important and interesting because I speak English with my friends and with you...so for me it's important to improve my language. The course is interesting also because we deal many arguments that make part of our daily life: family,food,sport... My English is improving and I hope that it always will be. I am very sad in order not to have been able to leave a comment, but I have had of the health problems, therefore I write now. l English it is a matter that me is always liked, but when I went to school I have had a prof that it has made me to have an ugly relationship with the english language.With the passing of the time I noticed that l English is indeed fascinating, therefore I have decided to go to make one vacation-study in England. after that experience I understood
that l English who makes school it is completely various from what it is made on the place. The course that we are making appeals to me now, would propose to make more talk with she. My difficulty is in speaking, because to read and to write me enough the cable!excused for the delay

Thank you so much for your comments! I have a couple of suggestions for you all:
1- I think we should try to use correct, friendly, but semi-formal language in this blog, because it is more appropriate for a 3-credit course. Therefore, capitalize your 'I's and write out the entire word unless it is a standard abbreviation (don't is ok, 'cuz is not).
2 - I will make grammar corrections by copying all of your comments and marking them as if they were compositions, and giving them back to you in class. That way, you can learn from your mistakes as well as those your classmates have made.
So - on to the next assignment!

About the proposal I agree with Nunzia from Boscoreale (more time to speak among of us). For the book I think it is very very very well done and practice to use
